Albert André was a French painter known for his role in the post-impressionist movement. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was influenced by artists such as Paul Cézanne, which led him to develop a style characterized by a rich palette and a focus on light and color. André was particularly known for his landscape and still-life paintings, using vibrant colors and distinctive brushwork to capture the natural world. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Indépendants and exhibited his work alongside major figures of the time. His paintings reflect both the transition from traditional impressionism to more modern artistic approaches.
